golden candles
vanilla and sweet
flowers perfume
the long
hallway

velvet curtains
conceal what's
too hard
to say
words chosen
so carefully

it's hard
because I
can't be
there for

carry the
weight
for you

maybe what
I need
a little
color to
change my
perspective

you're looking
but not
seeing
take my
hand

somewhere new
have mercy

if memories
