~French Illusions~

577055.jpeg (898×644)
I was chasing an illusion
I realized
That morning
When I got away
From my life

I found
A quiet
Corner
I was staring at a painting
Of dappled leaves
and a brick tower bridge
With a circled clock
White
Like a statue silhouette
On the back bridge
With still and sparkling water

I could feel the sunlight
warm wind
On my face
Probably smelling of clovers
And lavender
Heavy and hanging
In the air

Peaceful strawberry danish
and two large coffees
I closed my eyes
And I was there
Delicate
Icy snow
Jasmine

Makes me feel
Again
A deary world
Is made beautiful
Again

Far away
From
The city lights
Bells
Like warming
strangers

Hints of violets
Like a haunting
Refrain

Saying everything
Without
A sound
What
Are we
Waiting on?

You make me
Believe
In smiles
In the person
That I am
today

I was thinking
Of how many turns
We have to take
To get home
And wouldn’t it
Be easier
If we went straight
Above the trees
Every new beginning
Comes from
Some other
Beginning’s end

As the Dutch say,
Were not made

Of sugar

~Waves~

I ate
your stolen walnuts
I put them
In my pockets
and ate them
in solitude
guilt free

they were
sweet
and thick
ending with
bitter

I walk
a lonely
road
I feed birds
and read books
make bags of tea
to sweeten
the air

staring
into
your winding river
of sea-green eyes
tinted
yellow
like
a cat

sweet
as a sigh
how
would you know

not too late
what would you
do
If hands of time
ticked by
too fast
hey, pretty smile
release
the stress
don’t let it consume
you anymore

be one with
the waves
I dare you
to move

~Rain~

maxresdefault.jpg (1280×720)
“If you light a lamp
for someone else,
It will also brighten your path
-Nichiren Daishpni

rain
magnifies
my
windows
and falls
crushed velvet
tingling
into nothing

eyes
that hide
a secret
by the way,
I forgot to mention
that your smile
is like moonlight
on a
dark
sky
keep smiling

lulluby
soft
touches
comfort me
I know were
only halfway
there
but you can
take me all the way
I don’t know where to stay
I’m just a little lost

but you
open my eyes
I know what that means now
to want
to give all my secrets
away
to sacrifice

the lit path
I had to find
shooting stars
on my skin
leaving me
with enough stardust
for life

come out from
the masquerade
call my name
look into my eyes
it’s where my demons hide

hey, pretty smile
love is easily
misunderstood
I agree
with you

like the color
of water
two sides
of the same
but still different
coins

~Coffee Flowers~

“The flowers that smell the sweetest are shy and
 lonely”-William Wordsworth

it was
a rainy
morning
the trees
were reaching
and yawning
the smell of lilies
was strong
and warmed
the cold

you came back
with a smile
in your bubbling eyes
you handed me a bag
inside it was full
of my favorite coffee
Mexican mocha’s in cans
the kind
of flowers
you know I would remember

and this gesture lit my heart
warmed the forgotten
corners
that are meant to be
hugged

sometimes
when
it all
too much
but the fog
will clear up
