Appeal

Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself"

- Desiderius Erasmus

I have to say
what I feel
Something
with appeal
To feel
Something
Again

I feel like
magenta,
all kinds of feelings
stumbling
over themselves.
You're not quite blue,
you're not yellow,
you're magenta

Thank you
for being
a friend
to walk down
this unknowing road
with me
Warming
My hands

I do like surprises
Spontaneity can be fun
Spanish carnations
Spicy and familiar
The streets aren’t
paved with gold
as far as I know
Appeal
To the
Senses
Don’t be
An Afterimage

Passing dreams
Doorway
After
Doorway
Standing
Alone
And crucial
In the
Hours
Between dawns

Lean in
looking inward
outward
Something
About the
Way you’re
Smiling

Before
And after
Like melting
Softness
Quiets the
Tingling
Night
Don’t fall
From me

this illusion
of some safety
to be found
This illusion
Of safety
That will
Never change

Afraid
That
It won’t
Remain
when we are loved
we are afraid
our words will not be heard
or welcomed
but when we are silent
we are still afraid

So
it is better to speak
I want you
To remember
Looking up
At me
Not looking
down
Just took
A moment
To see
Past that
Front door

Sometime it all gets a little too much
but the fog
will clear up
Just casting
Shadodows

Got so much
To lose
Let it
Scatter
On the ground

Feel like we are
Rolling through
the motions
everyday
Wanting
The unnamed

I know
What blank
Feels

like

Afterglow

Lazy swaying
Colors
Layer
The night

Soft
And shivering
With thing’s
Unspoken

I've always loved
it here
the way the light
Dances
across the wall
afterglow
On honeyed
Wood

Don’t forget
to smell
Coffee
Again

Feel
The trembling
Petals
Of
The magnolia
Tree
I pass
Everyday

Curved
White
Pink
And
Swaying
Heavy
And heady

Lost
Voice
So long
a drop
of dew
that embraces a blade of grass
I will never give up
My evening rose

Look past
the rubble
that
tries to
define me

shiny
and surreal
this is our virtue
look into
your heart
Don’t
Hesitate

we'll start
the spark
the fire
climbs high
and hot

but I'll hold
onto
the light
that we have made
the truth
we cling to
The person
Who has fallen
Is me

We all have
This one life to live

A fleeting shadow
Soft
And seething

~Sweet disaster~

you should
show your eyes mores
they are pretty
Fingertips stained
Golden
with tumeric

Honey
Darkens
To the
Touch

curry juices
smells of burnt butter
And wildness,

Take my hand
without realizing it
What glitters
doesn’t make it gold

you’re so easy
to love
but hard
to hold,
Bitter
Sweet,
not many
people get to close
you’re a sweet
disaster
Here we go,
bringing
back
old tears
acting
like

i don't know
where this road will go

sitting on the edge
of the afternoon
again,
slow it down
and don’t walk out the door
