sad bowls of fruit
curves of tears
makes me pause
if you look closer
what would you see
you come through my door
take an unwelcome look around
you hand me a tupperware
as plastic as you are
you tell me
"oh, these are the cookies
that I forgot to offer you
waiting for another wonder
I'm not broken
just bent
it has to get better
