~Cheerful Cafe Poetry Night~
~I had to post this, it sounds like a lot of fun. It is Slice Magazine's evening of fun and such, which takes place at a cafe and sponsored by a brewery. It's a different kind of event, more homey and cheerful, if you can afford it. The tickets start at $50 and end at $250.

~Self-publishing is the New Way of Writing~
~This is the "new" way of writing;people these days self-publish their books online. Its cheaper and easier to advertise your book. Its not gaurented to make you famous or well-known, but it can work. These are the experiences of two authors who describe and show what it means to be successful in the indie book industry: Erin Keyser Horn and Roy McConnell. Not well known authors, but still known in their circle, and so much money involved if you want to be serious these days! Its so hard to tell between dreams and realities of writing, Horn and McConnell share their misconceptions and accomplishments in order to help new and aspiring writers.~
~Writing Career help center~
~This is a great spot on the internet if you want to be a freelance writing, with oppertunities and advice abound, for all types of writing. If you're looking for direction or are stuck, you should go here. This is one of the best poetry and writing sites that I've seen so far.~
~Alexis Grant's Social Media for writers~
~A bit pricey, 99 dolors for this e-book, but it looks like its worth it. Social Media for Writers is perfect for beginner-to-intermediate writers who know the basics but want to make better use of the time they spend online. You’ll learn how to use social media to work toward your goals, grow your blog community and harness that Twitter power you’ve heard so much about. Which is reat for a online journalism class so that we know what were doing here. It really seems like it would illustrate the point of onlice convergence very well. Its a whole course you pay for, the author Alexis Grant seems to know what she's talking about here, the course is called Social Media for Writers. Its good to get if you come into some money.~
~Journalistic News Put Poetically~
~This ties very well into online journalism and poetry, I think, which is very good news for me and people trying to relate news, journalism and poetry.~
