~Its a birthday~

~Happy Birthday, Gabriel!~ “If you say that there are elephants flying in the sky, people are not going to believe you. But if you say that there are four hundred and twenty-five elephants flying in the sky, people will probably believe you.” Happy birthday, Gabriel García Márquez, who is eighty-seven today: http://tpr.ly/NXlKL2.

~Ear painting~

~I read somewhere that haiku and poetry
are like ear paintings because they are so sensory and its so quick and happens in one flash of a moment. All poetry has to have a dramatic and emotional impact on you, my dad taught poetry and enlish at City Collee, he always told me, "show, not tell."I don't remember where I read this specificly, but this is a good site for the haiku of today.~

~Poetry Image~

~This is a peaceful image I love-it just reminds me of writing poetry so much. I got it from one of my labs at school on Photoshop.~ This imaage can calm you and get you in the mood to write, it worked for me.~

~Halfway down...~

~Halfway Down the Stairs is a magazine that's been around for awhile. It is a well-known electronic journal. They publish poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, as well as book reviews. I love poetry and writing magaizines with unique names.~

~Crack That Spine~

~Crack the Spine Magazine is now open to submissions. This is an interesting magazine that accepts almost all forms of writing-so, there is no excuse not to get your work out there-on your own time, that is.~

~Ernest Hemingway on Writing~

~Wow, great Hemingway site; very descriptive on writing of any subject with a scroll picture. "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit at a typewriter and bleed"=Ernest Hemingway Picture and quote: Author's publish

~Writing prompts~

~If you want to write mystery books or dark poetry, this is a great writing prompt. Very Edgar Alan Poe and Victorian, I think.
